>>15185914>Do you really prefer someone with a Sneasel, Piloswine, Snover AND Abomasnow than someone with Abomasnow, Sneasel and Piloswine? The Snover is worthless.Who said the extra pokemon has to be trash that you can OHKO with heavy breathing?
I can partially understand why gym leaders don't have a full party: if all your pokemon are somehow weak to one or two types, you'll have a really rough time against another full party of that type. You'd have to go out and find a pokemon or two that's strong against the gym, catch it, train it, and defeat the gym. GF apparently thinks that training more than six pokemon is asking too much of the player, and/or that children are too emotionally attached to their existing six that they would have mental trauma by temporarily boxing one.
I admit that I usually try to go through the main game as fast as possible (while also trying to explore everywhere, and talk to everyone, but only for items) then breed/train/trade/wifi-battle for several hundred hours, but I can appreciate a good RPG: but the easiness has become a real hindrance to my enjoyment of the main game.
They really, really should bring back the challenge mode. And make it possible to choose it right off the back.
Ideally, I'd want a NG+ system where you can keep starting over and over again, and all the trainers get more Pokemon and at a higher level each time.
