I would love California, on a few conditions

The Strange Souvenir made me think a Pacific Island chain sort of like anime Orange Islands would be cool. Then again we already got the Sevii Islands, but a full region with bigger islands and gyms, like Hawaii or the Virgin Islands etc.

Eh, wouldn't be so bad if you took boats between islands instead of surfing (or some other method where you didn't run into a Tentacool every 2 seconds). And Fly fairly early on. You could even put 2-3 towns on some islands so you don't have to Surf every town.
