Vastly improved social play, Super Training is almost fun, mostly good designs, very few legendaries, gorgeous graphics great music. Regional dex is pretty fantastic.

Most megas are way too overpowered, Amie is boring (though I understand the appeal), not enough new Pokémon. No contests.

9. I've had a lot of fun so far and expect to keep doing so. I hope Pokémon Bank doesn't ruin the online though.

I'm enjoying the designs of most of the pokemon this gen actually and the online is a million times better.
Kalos is also a great region both in structure and design.
My main knock against the gameplay is how slow the battles are this gen and some of the animations are really shite compared to previous attack animations like swords dance in gen V
In general the graphics seem like a third party wii game compared to a first party wii game. They're slow choppy and put a huge strain on the console for simpler geometry than other games that run more and better.
Hell the few times you can use the 3d it's way more shallow than any other game I've played on the system.

I give it a 3/5
My complaints about the game that I haven't mentioned can basically be summed up as
>GF made Black & White because they wanted to. GF made X & Y because they had to.

The online system is practicly flawless, the graphics alone mezmerized me since having a proper, 3d pokemon game was something i had wanted since i first played Stadium.

I like the 3d world. The integration of the GTS into the bottom screen is nice. Wonder trade is fun when you want to do a chain of random trades.

Loving the personal aspect that amie adds to the game, the character designs are my favorite yet in any pokemon game, graphics are very lovely, breeding far more streamlined.

The storyline is hella rushed and the rivals got on my nerves the entire game. Major step down from the writing in 5th gen. Battle maison is a cheating motherfucker, and I don't like how amie stuff doesn't transfer over into it/competitive battling.

Solid 8/10, hoping dlc and updates will improve until z/sequels come out, but for right now I'm satisfied.

Made getting IVs and EVs significantly easier, there's really no reason not to have perfect IVs and a fully EV trained mon now. Also made my bro Galvantula more relevant because of slow strings.

BUGS. Going through the swamp in Route 14 locked my 3DS up like 4 times, the music still played but I couldn't do anything but switch it off. Luckily, I wasn't that far behind, so I didn't lose a lot of progress. The frame rate drops are disgustingly frequent and noticeable too.
There's also the fact that the game had shitty pacing. You don't see the second gym for awhile after the first, which is fine, but then you can get every other badge within 5-6 hours. The routes between towns just felt too small.

6 or 7, I guess. I enjoyed it a lot, but from the bugs and poor optimization, it did feel like they were trying to rush it out a little too soon. If we get a third version or sequel, I can see it significantly building on XY though.

I don't like rating things out of ten. Why is Serena such a sad rival? She's obviously only acting tough when she gives one of those "I lost, but I gained a deeper appreciation of the value of pokemon" speeches. She probably runs off and cries every single time she loses.

I have all of the megastones. I haven't bought everything yet or gotten the highest rank in the battle

Pretty much everything. Most of the new pokemon are cool, the world is more vibrant in 3D and the world is packed with stuff.

My biggest complaint is the performance. 3D is only available a portion of the time and the framerate is intolerable. Also HMs not being forgettable again.

Fennekin and Charmander, because I had no fucking clue they were going to have the Kanto starters and there's no way I'm not picking Charmander. Delphox gets the psychic secondary type which helped me feel better about choosing two fire types.

Finished the main game ages ago; collecting Pokemon, running around after Zapdos, doing the Looker side quests right now.

Tedious grinding is all but eliminated, lots of Pokemon to catch pre-National Dex, Shauna and Serena, new Pokemon are actually cool looking and/or adorable, lots of extra places to explore, the Team Flare/AZ storyline is pretty cool and feels-y, the 3D graphics are pretty tight, Wonder Trade helps fill up my pokedex nicely.

You can screw your game up by saving in Lumiose City, only 69 new Pokemon, I don't care for the clothes thing, the blank stares of the people in Lumiose City, you're going to have to pay to transfer pokemon from your old games even though you already bought them, shitty pokes everywhere on Wonder Trade.

You can easily grind (and make bank) at Restaurant Le Wow, it costs a bit to get in but with Exp Share on and a Lucky Egg you can just do it over and over at a fairly good pace and you make more money than what you pay to get in. Plus if you have Exp Power 3 and maybe even that molestation bonus, it really shouldn't take too long to get to 100.

I feel like Sushi High Roller is the biggest scam since Max Repels, but maybe there's something I don't know.

enjoying the 3d pokemans, and abilities. exp share effects entire party is also really nice. pokemon amie is really neat. and Deep down I'm a little fag and I enjoy playing dress up with my character. if only there were more clothes to chose from.

I beat the Pokemon League, but have since done NOTHING but use the Safari. Will do some post-game missions and Battle Maison once I make a decent EV trained team.

70 - 80 hours.

Love amie, love the 3d models and animation, love the better use of online, love the trainer customisation, love some of the new changes to the battle system and moves.

Wish there were more new Pokes, especially more new standard evolutions as well as the Megas. Amie could be a bit more comprehensive potentially. Waiting two month to send over bros is a pain. Also it's a shame they're clearly holding off some content for a Z or something else like that as usual.

8/10.

The models for the most part, Axew's line looks like steaming garbage but seeing everything with models is outstanding. There's a lot I like really, too much to list.

Too short, I don't even mind that it's easy or exp share it's just way too short. If it had more new pokemon I probably wouldn't of minded as much honestly but with the lack of new things the post game feels barren.
Also hate that boys get nothing interesting in regards to clothes, seriously there's what, 3 types of shirts and that's it. I'd at least like those giant colorful hats I see girls with.

7-8/10. I think I like it best as a game but I wish it was more B/W. I hate every "friend" because while I don't care if they're gary or silver or whatever, none of them felt like actual characters and I didn't feel like it was much of a adventure because of it. "Random kid gets harassed by other kids while walking around exciting"

Every pokemon being animated, easy wireless play, wonder trade, extremely easy breeding for perfect IVs, mega gengar, a lot of the new pokemon are pretty great like Goomy, Noivern, Pumpkaboo, Honedge, etc. Friend Safari is amazing.

The story was a little silly, wonder trade, I'm skeptical concerning the battle community from all the stories of mega blaziken out and about, leveling was a little too easy.
