Honestly, most of the Sinnoh mons. Everything that's not a starter or an evo of an old pokemon. And even then, some of those are terrible.

Sinnoh also had a bunch of really nonsensical legendaries. Dragon trio + lake trio [though I personally don't like them] + arceus would have been a healthy amount lore-wise.
But then shit like Manaphy/Phione and Heatran, why are they legendaries? I like the idea of Cresselia/Darkrai because we haven't had a minor legendary duo since the lati@s but Darkrai being event only is dumb.

I think having some Pokemon you could ride in X and Y could be an idea to build on with shit Pokemon.

You could end up having Pokemon in a more utility role than for battle. Have Zigzagoons that actually go out and find items for you.

Secret base is brought back but instead you get an old haunted house. Lots of doors are locked but having a Klefki while exploring lets you find more keys and unlock rooms.

Catch lots of Aipoms to help with Berry farming as they pick them for you. Some rock Pokemon like Carbink might help you mine evolution stones.

Maybe he'll do something in the little leagues. +1 priority spikes is really nothing special. And despite the unique Steel/Fairy typing, he doesn't have near the bulk to act as any sort of tank or wall. I'm really not seeing anything special when there are so many better steels all with access to a lot of the same status moves like Spikes and Twave, as well as Stealth Rock. They also don't have shit stats

Form SInnoh I personally like Drifblim, Gliscor, Togekiss, Giratina, and Arceus.

But most of the things introduced there were so incredibly average. Plus Diamond and Pearl were such a chore to play, it's kind of soured my perception on the pokemon as collateral.
Platinum did fix a lot of things wrong with D/P but it's still tedious and monotonous.
Except the distortion world. That shit was cool.

if anything, one of the problems with Sinnoh is it was too non-linear and honestly too hard. there's a difference between a challenge and complete bullshit [i.e. cynthias entire team having perfect everything]

I fought her earlier and froze her Roserade with Ice Beam, and it thawed the same damn turn. That's some battle tower bullshit right there.

And then gen 5 happened and it was entirely too linear and easy. jesus GF get your shit together

but while I am an undeniable johtobabby HGSS added a lot of extraneous little fun things, but it didn't fix the glaring problems that gold/silver had from the start. which kind of sucks replaying it and not being blinded by the hype like on release.

I love Garbodor, but you really have to wonder what they were thinking when they designed its stats. It learns just about every good Poison special move as well as Focus Blast, Psychic, Thunderbolt and Solarbeam, yet they give it 60 base Special Attack.

At least it can set up hazards nicely, whether that will be useful in the gen 6 metagame or not, I'm not sure.
