1. Not sure, Probably 2. I'm pretty sure Power items are better

Macho brace double the amount so it goes from 1 each to 2, or from 5 for the horde to 10, or were we supposed to assume you had pokerus?

Horde EV training is much faster than Super Training, IMO.>1. How does Macho Brace work for this method? For Example say I faint 5 whismurs and my pokemon is holding a Macho Brace. Will it receive 20 HP EVs? You attach the Macho Brace to the chosen 'mon and then they will receive double the EV points. Let's say you defeat a horde of Gulpin. 1 HP EV for each Gulpin = 5 Doubled by Macho Brace: 5 * 2 = 10 But with Pokerus, all EVs earned are doubled, so it will be 2 * (5 * 2) = 20 EVs>2. Same Scenario, but are Power items better? Power items are much better. Let's go through the above example again: 1 HP EV for each Gulpin = 5 +4 EVs by Power Weight: (4 * 5) + 5 = 25 But with Pokerus, all EVs earned are doubled, so it will be 2 * ((4 * 5) + 5) = 50 EVs

Power is best, Machobrace is filler. If you have a party you are training at once, and you want both to equally progress, put machobrace on the second mon and then swap half way through.

The Power Weight will then add +4 EVs for each Gulpin defeated.

One question though, does EV training the old fashioned way cap at 252 as well like supertraining does or will I have to be careful about not going to 255 again?
Anonymous
>>15202710 Yeah it hard caps at 252.
Anonymous
>>15202718 Alright so I won't even have to keep close track when going for 252/252/6, only when I do special builds where I want to stop before that

EV training is so easy this gen with hordes + power items, and especially with pokerus (50 EVs a battle?) I'm really digging it.

I'm already familiar with super training, and I've maxxed out a couple of pokemon this way, however i find it to be very tiring and unrewarding. I have the pokerus and I feel that it's going to waste while I'm not EV training traditionally.

I have a question also. So I've noticed that Super Training caps EV's off at 252 instead of 255, is this the new max, or is it special to Super Training? Was wondering for the fact since I tend to mess up, and makes me not want to do the horde method unless it's like this.

With a Pokerus, maxing a couple of states just takes a couple of minutes after a few hordes.
Super Training is good when you don't have it yey

Does one pokemon holding the power item work for the whole team, or does each of them have to hold it?
