Thats the exact set I'm using. Works alright, if you manage to predict a switch/protect and get a Swords Dance off it's gg, practically nothing can withstand a Sucker Punch from Mega Mawile with Swords Dance active.

I'm running the same set with stone edge instead of sword dance. Sword dance is too much of a gamble for me unless you're fighting someone who doesn't know her weaknesses.

Honestly though I kind of wish I bred in fire fang. It would help with a lots of situations where I need to pull her out.

Sheer force is useless if you plan on mega evolving instantly. It'd be better to have Intimidate to get the -1, either forcing a switch to give you a free turn of set up, or reducing the damage the opponent pokémon can do with your now increased defenses.

Swords dance is Overkill, but it also means nothing in the game is going to look at you and live.

EVs i'd put in atk and hp, with the remainder in S.def

It's speed sucks, but there's plenty of enough pokemon to support trick rooms.

I did, for my Mawile but as I was talking to the Move Relearner two of the three fangs were avaliable. So, either you can remember lost egg moves, or Mawile can naturally learn the fangs now.

Mine's a Defensive set that abuses Intimidate from the standard form for easy setup.

Even uninvested in Attack, Mega Mawile reaches an amazing 492 Attack. For reference, that is higher than Adamant max attack Kyurem-B.

With an SD, Mawile reaches a terrifying 984 Attack. And this is uninvested. So, basically, all you really need is to invest more on the defensive stats. I also made it fast enough to outpace Aegislash, so that he'll always be able to Sucker Punch it.

Do NOT make Mawile your Aegislash counter.

Kings Shield will fuck you up, you'll go for another sucker while it sets up its own SD, and then can proceed to Kings Shield, rinse and repeat.

Hell no. Mega-Mawile is still slow as shit, still only has 50 base HP, and can't use an item to patch up its weaknesses. Don't waste time setting up. Just hit stuff as frequently as possible. Drop swords dance for brick break or fire fang or something.

Why?
Almost all of the time you're hitting with sucker punch because you cannot get the opportunity to hit with any non-priority attack.
If you do see the opportunity to set up a SD then you basically have turned mawile into something that will OHKO most of the game with a sucker punch.

Honestly, how often do you actually get to use brick break/iron head/play rough compared to sucker punch?

It's not just about hitting often, it's about hitting as hard as possible so they don't survive it.

It can't survive a blaziken, but it can survive an unboosted dragonite and has a very good chance of surviving a garchomp that doesn't have a choice band or goes mega.

I agree with this. Mega Mawile is slow as shit and can't take a hit, you're basically locked into using Sucker Punch most of the time, a 4th attack is pretty much worthless. On the other hand if you have SD and manage to find a gap to use it the rewards can be huge, it's worth having because everyone makes mistakes and there will be times you'll be able to capitalise and squeeze in a SD to secure the win. It won't happen every game of course but it's better than having Fire Fang or Brick Break which will never get used.

Yeah, I've had a M mawile decimate an entire team because it OHKO's almost everything not dark/fairy/fighting type with sucker punch.

Iron head only gets used against fairies and play rough against dragons for the most part.
It is all about hitting as hard as possible with that sucker punch.
Now if you can predict a switch and hit with one of those moves then that's grand.

If you SD and he uses protect then you've won, because you can hit it with a play rough for a OHKO.
Sucker Punch will only do 1/2 hp though.

I've been running an adamant mawile with only 4 points in spD, the rest in hp and att.

It can survive many hits, but don't expect it to survive a fire STAB or a high power earthquake.
A non-defense built M Mawile can survive basically any non-boosted super effective attack that is 100 BP or lower. Not STAB.
STAB will end it.
