Yeah, so. I am new to competitive battling I have the breeding part down, in fact, today I should be able to pop out some Protan Hasty 5IV Froakies.

The problem with me is building proper team.

So I have Greninja, but if it were up to me I'd just revert back to my "childish" team building skills and think abou his type, and their weaknesses, and then insert a new pokemon that covers that. But I have been reading about Spinblockers, Special Walls, Physical Walls, Sweepers, Baton passers, etc etc

What are like, the important "jobs" for a team, and how do I know who the right Pokemon is to support eachother?

Having last played Crystal, this is all so very confusing to me. I finally mnge to learn everything about Natures and Abilities and whatnot, and now this.

Any general help would be apreciated.

I have ralts all modest with 3-4 Iv's
Scraggy's with Dragon dance and drain punch breed on to them and a few other breeding left overs I don't need.

Gastrodon is a massive up, destroys a ton of mons and barely ever dies. Usually makes the match.

Aegislash is good for stalling Gastrodon's toxic. Swords Dance + shadow sneak when I get the chance to

Gardevoir is very strong, has 4 different types to cover, but is a class cannon. Even with 31 IV in every stat, it dies too easily.
I'm thinking to replace gardevoir, but what with?

I'm pretty sure this team has some big problems, but it has been doing better than I expected so far.

Yeah, I think at level 49. It doesn't give you too much coverage, but it was fun to play around with. The flinch chance is somewhat decent and the STAB is always good if you lack a good psychic.

I know very little about natures and competitive battling, so take it easy on me please. I'm already in the process of remaking the entire team, considering switching out Goodra for Noivern and Malamar for Delphox.

That being said, anyone know a good nature for Sylveon? Would really appreciate it.

Better than I expected. Maybe Dragonite does the same thing better, but Zygarde is faster than Dnite, and Glare and STAB quakes are nice to have.

I've gotten through by being boosted to the point where it doesn't matter so far, but I could probably use to put something to handle water types in Barbaracle or Malamar's spot. I wish Mega Manectric was a little better. I like him.

I've never done competitive battling before so I don't really know where to start, so I just kind of started breeding Pokemon I like. So far I've got Glaceon, Klefki, and Clawitzer. I was thinking of pairing Glaceon with mega Abomasnow to take advantage of hail for the increased evasion and 100% accurate blizzards. Clawitzer is pretty run of the mill, there's only one good set for him.

I don't really know what else to do. I want to try out a Malamar.

I need some advice actually, my current in game team is Greninja, Florges, Doublabe (Eviolite), Hawlucha, Heliolisk, and Garchomp. The last five Pokes are great but Greninja seems to be meh for me right now. Also he's taking too long to learn good moves and the TMs are a long ways. I'm thinking of replacing him with a Clauncher I had traded to me, what do you anons think? Also, is Malamar worth using?

I kinda switch it up between Quilladin, Fletchinder, Litleo, Aerodactyl, Furfrou, Absol, Gloom, Vivillon, and Floebe right now.
My full team that I need to change up was Aerodactyl, Furfrou, Absol, Gloom, Vivillon, and Floebe. I nearly got sweeped by a fucking Hawlucha by a random trainer, so now I'm trying to change it up some and shift stuff around and try new ones.
I basically have no fast pokemon right now...
