Because my GBC speakers are no longer any good and my I don't use my GBP because I want color.

So yeah, I either use Stadium 2, GBASP, or GameCube's GameBoy Player.

Also playing with inverted colors masterrace.

I was 10 when Pokemon hit, and even so I can't play older games because of how broken they are in comparison.

I lost my red, blue, and yellow version. As well as my GBC and GBASP. That or they were stolen. Don't really care too much actually. When I had them, I still played them on emulators if I wanted to play.

If you're playing gen 1 or 2 on an emulator then get your shit together. Playing it on the system it was intended for is the best option. GBCs are dirt cheap on eBay, and a chimp could figure out how to replace a save battery. Even playing them on a GBA is a hassle because GB and GBC carts double the length of the system, and you're stuck with letterboxed or stretched resolutions.

Because the GB/Color are shit now once you realise backlights are a thing. Gameboy Advance SP/Super Gameboy are the best ways to play. That chinese bootleg Gameboy Color that actually has better specs(backlight included) is fun to play on too.

Pokemon Red/Blue should get the SoulSilver / HeartGold treatment first if it wants me to go back and replay it. That said, I'd rather have GF concentrate on new games rather than remaking old ones. I've already experienced them, going through the same shit with newer graphics isn't going to do anything for me. The only reason SS/HG exists is so that we can get some old legendary pokemon into the newer games. It's a great game for those who haven't played it before, though.
