So which pokemon in this gen are going to be OU?

I'm thinking Greninja, Talonflame, Goodra (I dont know about this. So easy to kill), Mega Blaziken, Gengar, Mawile, Lucario

What else? Goodra now takes Dragonite's place as worst pseudo.

Goodra is the greatest Special Wall ever. It's got pretty decent Sp. Atk too. That nigga can survive an ice beam to the face and still have like 3/4 hp.

Goodra is 100% OU. His Special bulk is retarded (he can actually live Specs Latios' Draco Meteor) and he has a variety of interesting sets to choose from.

Talonflame's place depends entirely on Blaziken. If Blaziken stays, he is OU. If Blaziken is banned, he will fall.

M-Mawile and M-Blastoise are the two megas most likely to rise to OU. Maybe M-Aggron, but I don't think it will happen.

Also, some other previously UU mons will make it to OU (Azumarill).

Dragalge won't make it to OU, simply because the much more used M-Mawile is the ultimate check for it. (Immune to be dragon AND posion moves). Through utility, sure Dragalge could be OU, but from use, I highly doubt it. UU sounds about right.

He doesn't get shadow tag until he transforms and switching happens BEFORE the transformation.

So if you can predict he's going to M-evo, switch in a counter to him and then pursuit/sucker punch his ass.

This makes it mandatory to run something with Pursuit though, also even though Mega Gengar is a little on the frail side if he predicts the obvious Pursuit he can live and kill whatever switched in. Sucker punch doesn't really work unless Mega Gengar is the guys last pokemon, the guy will just switch out and once you Mega Evolve the pokemon stays like that for the rest of the match.

Well we've had another gen (and a data mine) to figure out Blastioses' egg moves. It's possible and plausible that Goodra gets Recover as an egg move, but we have no pokemon in her egg group to pass that down.

The difference is that Aegislash has to predict perfectly to do anything, whereas Blaziken has a much easier time dealing with Aegislash. Also if it's already used Swords Dance all hitting Kings Sheild will even do is bring his attack down to normal and then Aegislash will either have to try using King's Shield again or attack the Blaziken, and attacking would change its defenses to 60 base, meaning it won't take much a hit.

Stop. Just. Stop. Talonflame is fucking awful. He has base 80 attack, a god awful typing, god awful stats, he's a god awful Pokemon with an ability that doesn't make sense. He's already fast as fuck. It would have been better if he had reckless.

He takes 50% on switch-ins, ON TOP OF Brave Bird recoil damage. His ONE current niche right now is being a check to Blaziken, who will be banished to ubers regardless.

Azumarill. Azumarill is weird. He's going to have a super strong everything this generation in a combination of Belly Drum + Aqua Jet. However, people seem to forget the greatest Pokemon to ever exist, Scizor. After drums + rock damage, you're looking at 72.5% of your HP gone. Scizor is faster than Azumarill, and has bullet punch.

That isn't to say this makes Azumarill bad, just that one of the most common pokemon in OU is already a direct counter.

Most megas that aren't the obviously broken Gengar, Blaziken, Lucario might more than possibly be OU. Especially Blastoise, Mawile, Absol, and Aggron.

Staraptor is one of my favorite pokemon but no Talonflame is better than him. I'm guessing you probably haven't actually used it since I thought the same thing as you until I used one myself, this thing is good and there are ways to compensate for its subpar attack and with Defog now attacking like Rapid spin and removing hazards along with not being able to be blocked like Rapid Spin can be Hazards aren't as much of an issue and can be dealt with.

I killed Landorus-T with Acrobatics and Talonflame only had +1 attack, Landorus-T has respectable bulk too.

God, I fucking hate that excuse. I see it everywhere. Gengar has a base SpAtk of 170 and a base Spd and has an insane amount of type coverage. I fucking shit my pants when I sent out a Dark type to counter it and it used fucking DAZZLING GLEAM of all things and fucked it up. A Timid Mega Gengar with perfect IVs and EV training in speed and special attack can outrun every single Pokemon outside of one or two other Megas. Literally the only two counters to Mega Gengar are either Sucker Punch or Trick Room.

The problem is when we have shifts mid-gen, like how BW2 shook up a lot of the metagame. I think they only one to come down from Ubers was Garchomp, but that's yet another Poke that Smogon has a boner for.

It's just weird that pokemon like Zygarde are automatically ubers when they are honestly not that great, yet Tyranitar (who in sand is TECHNICALLY Uber-tier stat totals, which is something that tends to get things put into ubers right off the bat) gets free reign despite being almost objectively better.

There are ways to clear hazards off of the playing field, in fact in Gen6 there are now 2 ways to do it. There isn't a single pokemon out there that is wasting away in a lower tier that would be pushed all the way up to a higher one if Stealth Rock was banned, most pokemon down there weak to Stealth Rock aren't very good pokemon anyways. Charizard is not a good pokemon with or without Stealth Rock.

It won't outspeed Speed Boost Blaziken and Mega Gengar and other things around that speed, also it won't outpace anything that has boosted its speed with Agility. Talonflame ALWAYS goes first with Flying moves regardless of how fast the pokemon is in front of it

Don't be so sure. Brave Bird or Acrobatics are high BP moves, the only way Greninja can match it is by using Hydro Pump which doesn't have 100% accuracy, also the aforementioned fact that its special attack isn't that high.

Getting Stealth Rock on a lot of things would require Uptrading from Gen 4 as well, though. Remember that it's no longer a TM. Rapid Spin isn't that uncommon and one of the pokemon that uses it got a huge boost in Generation 6 with a Mega evolution.

4x weaknesses are the reason you have U-turn. Plus it's like one of three things not #rekt by Ghosts. Sure, Tyranitar and Blissey are good-to-godlike, but they can't do some of the things that Hydreigon does, and vice-versa. Hydreigon also has great synergy with things like Aegislash and I guess Metagross too, if you really hate Fairies.

And unlike Garchomp and Salamence, Hydreigon isn't totally assblasted by a single priority attack (inb4 Mach Punch, and that's "only" a 2x weakness) and has no business being walled by a Togekiss if you can predict the switch.

It has 150 Attack and Special Attack in Shield form.
It shouldn't be as predictable as it is when a Timid Autotomize/Flash Cannon/Shadow Ball/Sacred Sword set is arguably the superior option.
The fact that it does so well when used so poorly should hint at its power. Once people start running proper Mixed and Special sets to go with the well-known Physical ones, this thing might actually prove itself to be Ubers material, especially when it can use Weakness Policy in the place of a boosting move on a Autotomize clean-up sweeper set.
Aegislash's biggest issue is that people are only thinking about it in two dimensions. But Generation VI is about depth.

Staraptor has shit defenses and really only average speed. It's also weak to priority, and has a relatively low base HP. When your entire strategy revolves around spamming powerful recoil moves, those are seriously crippling weaknesses since success hinges on not killing yourself too quickly. Weavile, meanwhile, has shit defenses, priority issues, and a lack of truly powerful attacks. That's what holds it back, more than anything else. Victini... I'm actually not too sure about this one. Best guess is that 100/100 aren't exactly amazing offenses, and it has poor defensive typing to boot. Even then, it still has plenty of powerful moves worth abusing... so I'd blame its problems on Drizzle, not pebbles. The nerf to Rain (and the addition of a threatening Drought user in Megazard Y) could bring Victini to OU this time.

Right, because there were so many sand abusers left in OU last generation. Sandslash, Stoutland, and Gigalith ruled the day at the end of BW2, didn't they?
Tyranitar has always had a shit-ton of defensive flaws, and is forced to surrender to other things Smogon loves to fellate, like Terrakion, Keldeo, and Scizor last gen. It's still a great Pokemon, and it definitely deserves the amount of use it enjoys, but it has always struggled against many of the most popular attackers in the game, especially on the physical side, and it still doesn't have the kinds of powerful STABs that most other types enjoy. Close Combat, Focus Miss, usable Steel-type moves, and physical Waterfall were good enough reasons to keep Tyranitar OU in Generation IV, and it's never been able to centralize the game since.

Except it seems to be very powerful at the moment, those priority Brave Bird/Acrobatics along with SD or Bulk Up, Roost to keep itself health or even Tailwind before it finally goes down. I don't really think Rocks are going to hurt it's OU chances too much.

So the next time you use the harsh pejorative "shitposter" in a derogatory sense, remember the struggles, trials, and tribulations of my people, and try to walk a mile in our shoes.
