You'd be best off with MM, and it on average takes about 15 boxes. If you're lucky you'll get it before, but a lot of guys recently have been having problems with it.

Finally starting my hunt today. Found a foreign Espurr with four perfect IV's, and I've managed to get an offspring with four perfect IV's through a friend safari ditto (its two IV's plus the foreign one). Just waiting for that perfect offspring to hopefully max out the potential of having a perfect shiny, but even four awesome IV's will make me happy (using an everstone to give it Timid so I'm not worried about nature).

So in the spirit of Espurr, I hope we get to watch CATS DON'T DANCE tonight in the stream! Cat weekend part. 2, anyone?

Can someone post the masuda method guide? I'm not particularly looking for a shiny but I figured since i'm trying to get an adamant torchic I might as well breed it with a foreign one in the process. From what I understand, once you get the nature you want, you attach an everstone for a better chance of getting it, so then I can breed for good IV's. Right?

For what you are doing here's a simple guide.

1.Breed until you get one with the nature you want.
2.Put the everstone on the pokemon to keep the nature on ALL of the new hatches.
3.Breed for EV's a desity knot can be used to keep 5 random IV's from the parents.

You only need a foreign pokemon to increase the shiny rate.

I popped into a Friend Safari earlier and got a purple Braixen, which is fucking awesome. This is the third safari shiny I've gotten, behind Nincada and Masquerain, so I thought there might be something to it. I've spent the last hour in a Safari and haven't found shit. Braixen was found after about 5 encounters.

I want to see the math of the Friend Safaris, I want to know the odds. Honestly that's what I'm most interested in discovering once the game can be datamined.

I still find that tedious, doing that coin thing because you have to go back to the daycare to get more eggs after you run out and if the shiny hatches on the 10th egg and you collected about 100 before going there you just have a waste of 90 eggs in your storage that you can't do anything about.

My sister wanted to try this and I stopped her, good thing I did because she got her shiny Ralts on the 3rd egg.
