I'd also like to have no reigning champion for a region, but I know that's not going to happen. Remember what a twist it was when you got to the end of the E4 and Lance goes "actually, someone beat you first." It'd be nice to just become champion after beating the E4 for once, even if it meant facing a champion postgame.
