Is the Darker skin tone supposed to be black, middle eastern, or just a general darker skin tone thats not white? To me it doesn't look black (if its supposed to be black), it looks more I don't know korra colored?

It's just supposed to be generally darker. Not a specific real-world race. Just an aesthetic feature for people with any skin tone darker than the "average" setting or alternately a lighter one for people with a lighter skin tone.

It's that simple.

I'm a slightly dark skinned asian and I'm glad they added the option. It would be nicer to have even more options but I can't complain.

Same here. I'm black and my skin isn't exactly my guy's tone, but I can't deny that I love that it's an option.
