Substitute gives time to +Speed due to it's ability Speed Boost, and a chance to +2 Attack with Swords dance. When Ninjask is low on HP, the stat changes can be passed on the next pokemon with Baton Pass.

Yeah, but sadly it doesn't work that much.
In most cases, I'll just get +Speed and pass on my Salamence, which is then killed by the enemy attack because Baton Pass has priority.
If it's not killed, it has to OHKO the enemy, and that happens rarely but if I get to use 1-2 Swords Dances, Salamence can OHKO everything.
