I doubt they're going to leave ANY of the starters without a Mega Evolution.

They are the most iconic and popular of all Pokemon.

the only starters that are in the game , beside gen 6 ones, are ones that have mega evos.
the rest are pretty much unobtainable from what my limited knowledge has brought me to conclude.
only reason i can think of why that is is theyre getting one, within the game. as dlc like torchic, or part of the third game.
i also think milotic and a few other pokemon are ones you cant get, but i might be wrong.

But seriously, Gamefreak really needs to sit down and decide just what they want Mega Evolutions to be. Is it just a popularity contest? Is it to allow three-stage Pokemon a chance to grow further? Is it a band-aid for Pokemon like Mawile and Kangaskhan, despite the fact that they really could have used a normal evolution to begin with?

I feel like they don't know what they really want to do with it.
