I'm soft-resetting for a Modest Xerneas with 31 / x / 31 / 31 / 31 / 31, and having the dex entry will save me several seconds each SR.

It really isn't that bad. It has 3 guaranteed perfect IVs already.

What so you catch it and then go check its IVs with that guy or something? How do you know it has perfect IVs?

Those 3 flawless IVs can be dispersed among any of the 6 stats. And then you have to get two additional flawless IVs in the remaining stats assuming Attack wasn't chosen for one of three three perfect IVs.

No. That would take far too long. The cutscenes and battles that take place when catching Xerneas make it far too impractical to check its nature afterwards. You catch Xerneas and then immediately check it's stats in the next battle that ensues after.

What I'm after:
>201 HP
>xxx Attack
>115 Defense
>166 Special Attack
>118 Special Defense
>119 Speed

When I send out Xerneas in the following battle and it's displayed HP isn't /201, I immediately soft-reset because the HP IV isn't 31.
