>>15260793I will take this seriously with two type ideas I've had for a while:
Beast-type: ferocious, animalistic Pokemon go in this type category. Relates to Normal similar to how Fighting and Dark might -- two sides of the same coin.
-Strong Against (x2): Normal, Dragon, Bug, Beast
-Resisted By (x.5): Steel, Rock, Flying, Fairy, Poison
-Weak To (x2): Dragon, Beast, Poison, Saint, Ice
-Resists (x.5): Normal, Bug, Grass, Fairy
*High-risk type with a lot of mutual relationships. It is weak to itself, strong to and weak against Dragons, and resists Fairies just as they resist it. May attack relentlessly at will, but should expect to be hit back just as hard.
**Representative Pokemon: Mightyena (Dark/Beast), Ursaring (Beast), Luxray (Elec/Beast)
***Moves: Roar, Slash, Fury Swipes...
Saint-type: reserved for holy Pokemon and great warriors, imagine this as the type for Pokemon knights and clerics. Keeps with the "Fairies and Dragons" mythical theme.
-Strong Against (x2): Fairy, Poison, Ghost, Beast
-Resisted By (x.5): Dragon, Dark
-Weak To (x2): Psychic, Dark, Dragon, Fire
-Resists (x.5): Fairy, Steel, Poison, Ghost
*A new type to give Dragons another advantage and Fairies another weakness, since it's needed now. Also buffs Poison and Fire, somewhat, while nerfing Ghost just a bit.
**Representative Pokemon: Chimecho (Psychic/Saint), Suicune (Water/Saint), Terrakion (Rock/Saint)
***Moves: Sacred Sword, Wish, Healing Wish...
