There was once a time where Pokemon battles were just jun competitions between friends. Starter vs Starter, Mewtwo vs Mewtwo, Bird vs Bird. It was an era of peace.
But, one day, a man by the name of Chaos started to try his hands at glorious battle. He calculated the stats and used only the best teams. He knew the forbidden secrets that the Nintendo Overlords tried so hard to protect, the powers of IVs and EVs.
He was the first member of the dreaded "Smogon".
Many followed the crazy ideals of this "Smogon". Things such as "chain breeding" or "Tiers". They obtained quite a following.
This evil group was gained great influence on the trainers, but they weren't satisfied yet. They needed a new battle that could break the meta-game where it stood.
Thus was created a new concept: Weather Teams.
Pokemon that used to have the spotlight suddenly vanished from teams worldwide, being replaced with Tyranitar or Ninetails.
But, right when it seemed all hope was lost, A champion appeared, or rather a group of "Champs" : SHOWDERP. But they were few, and smogon brushed them off as idiots.
Smogon didn't expect the ludicrous sets and powers of SHOWDERP.
These champs used non-OU Pokemon with unconventional and downright silly movesets in their matches, which no trainers knew how to deal with, having only dealt with weather teams.
In a valiant struggle, smogon was defeated by things no one expected:

Now, the only question is, will smogon take the power back in X/Y? Or will 4chan's own /vp/ keep thier title?
