If pokegen had an analogue for an FPS, it would be like having a third party way to unlock weapons for free, instead of grinding ranks for them or whatever. Competitively speaking, a person who grinded for the weapons is on the same footing as the person who free unlocked them. (And no, genned pokemon are not any more powerful than bred ones, despite what many here keep insisting). Back to the analogy, at first I thought it would be understandable that the player who grinded ranks for weapons would be miffed at the person who took the third party shortcut, but looking more closely at it, it really isn't. Both are on even competitive footing. The player who grinded made the choice to grind - why be mad at someone else for their choices? Especially if nobody got hurt by it? Especially if they both ended up at the same place at the end? At the end of the day, the grinder's argument really boils down to a childish, not to mention rather arrogant, tantrum:
>"I don't want you doing this your way because that's not the way I want it to be!">"People who don't have the same priorities that I do are morally inferior to me!">"People who don't like the same parts of the game that I do don't deserve to play it!"
