It would be a bigger than normal buff, then. Lumineon has base 91 Speed last we saw it, and if it got a Speed buff on par with the rest of the buffed old-mons, it would have 101 Speed. Garchomp has 102.

The best way to get to 100 is to switch your team up every 5 or so battles.
If you keep them in for 30+ battles the computer starts putting stuff in to counter everything on your team.

I have a mostly perfect IV, perfect EV Cloyster, but the rest of my team is shit. I have things on my Black 2 file that could deal with the Maison, but until pokebank is released, I'm in deep shit. Hate the battle Maison. I lead with my Vivillion and literally every lead pokemon on the other team is steel/rock so it resists both of my stabs or they are quicker than me and know a rock move for a 4x weakness.

I did manage to win 1 20 battle set with Vivillion, Mega Gengar and Aegislash. I wish I could bring my Zygarde in, he's not even that strong.

Just gonna report in, I managed to get to 100 in Super Doubles yesterday.
The team I've been using for all those 100 battles:
Ttar + Talonflame lead, M-Garchomp and Togekiss as secondaries.
Set up Tailwind with Talonflame first turn (there's NOTHING that can outspeed that, thanks to Gale Wings), then proceed to either Rock Slide bitches with Ttar, or switch into Togekiss if they gonna use a Fighting move.
Then just spam them with Slides, Dazzling Gleams and EQs from Chomp.
There was nothing along those 100 battles that got me even close to losing. Not even Evasion bullshit, because Togekiss has Aura Sphere.

My Greninja has an identical moveset to yours except I have Smack Down instead of Mat Block to get Rock coverage. It has 50 power only unlike my other three moves that have 80, and it's special not physical so it does way less damage for that reason too. Is Mat Block useful in Singles? I tend to play Singles.

solid rock was what i was referring to when i mentioned reduced damage. also, have fun using amnesia with base 40 speed. overall, camerupt just doesn't have the defenses for a tank. 75 hp with defenses in the 70s as well is pretty mediocre. camerupt might be gimmicky if you made a team around him, but when you play mansion, it's best to use pokes that can cleanly get the job done. time is not on your side (usually) in the mansion, baring durant stall variants and sub-resters and such.

Out of curiousity; since when has any +1 or higher priority move cancelled out Sucker Punch?

I just lost a fight in the Battle Maison because Aqua Jet went before Sucker Punch, and Sucker Punch never went off. I had gotten hit with Yawn the turn prior so I fell asleep and proceed to get chipped away at.

I had nothing to swap into as my other two pokemon got KO'd.

I haven't bothered with the Battle Tower/equivalent since Pearl, but this thread is making me want to get back into it. I had a 106 streak with lopunny/driftblim/lucario. Aura sphere was super helpful for never missing, but eventually a weavile fucked me over. Might try a similar team.

That is not what I meant, Talonflame is a great Pokemon, I just don't think it will do very well since most of the time it will not be landing SE hits. SE Brave Bird is what really makes it shine.

The game doesn't cheat to counter your team. If you do actually have a team with a weakness, given the streaky nature of battle maison, you WILL find that counter eventually.

How "good" do my pokemon have to be to succeed in battle mansion/tower/subway? I never really took it too seriously.

I think the most obvious example was a guy who put no guard and OHKO moves onto his pokemon, and ran into teams full of sturdy pokemon after a while

i recall a report of something like an azumaril having fire fang that hit his wondertomb
they certaintly have workarounds and other bizarre shit in the programming, good example this gen is entei getting sacred fire in the super doubles. unless it actually gets it as a move relearner move thats a good example of blatant cheating

Fuck I wouldn't doubt if it's item wasn't even set in stone until it has to do something that "locks" it. It needs a quick claw? Well now it has one magically. Or it'll spawn itself a focus band right when it'd fuck you the most.

Except the accuracy thing. If you don't use 100% moves your gonna miss. Enemys will hit you with OHKO. But that's been hax since Gen 3, we're used to that particular bullshit.
