I was thinking about a utility bulky dragonite
It can survive any potential OHKO, it learns taunt, flamethrower, t-wave
Could help shut it down, but 2 moves and a complete EV spread just for aegislash seems a bit much.

(Is the board incredibly slow for anyone else or is it just my wifi?)

If it doesnt have shadow sneak, most tanks can do it in. If it does, use a normal type with super effective moves against it. Countering it is only hard the first few times you face one. After a while you realize it always runs one of two movesets and is incredibly predictable.

Until you realize that it actually will end up having 5-6 viable movesets, all distinct from each other, and people are focusing on the most direct ones to start (as well as using it as a lead rather than a late game sweeper)

Mid-Bulk pokemon with a decent attack stat and a SE attack with decent BP kills it.

The thing has a gaping hole in it's low HP stat.

You need to realize that King's Shield doesn't protect from Status, so if they use it they are basically giving you a good opportunity to screw it over with the moves already mentioned. Or just go with brute force and kill it with EQ. Another strategy would be using a Contrary pokemon and just fish for those King's Shield.

Tangrowth could tank its hits pretty well. Quagsire will ignore SD boosts and can hit with EQ. Slowbro and Amoonguss could also be ok, but Slowbro is weak to Shadow Sneak and Amoonguss is more specially defensive, although it resists Sacred Sword.
