Together Luci, the Channeler, and Vader burst, disrupt, or slice off the growths. One by one they release their captive energy, which is scattered to either fade away or be recovered by Channeler's ghosts. The creature, deprived of its sustenance, rapidly shriveled up into little more than a husk. The goo left in the room lost its form, spreading out to cover the floor.
The final strand of soul energy melded with Luci, returning to where it belonged. After being severed previously, the fragments weren't perfectly rejoined, but it worked well enough. The recovered fragments seemed to have brought back some small bits of some other power, filling in the cuts and 'welding' the fragments back together.
