So, /vp/ how useful are all the Megas in comparison to their respective origin forms?

I just spent days breeding gibles to get a Mega Garchomp, and I must say that I'm rather disappointed. Mega Mawile is actually better than Garchomp.

How good are all the megas revealed thus far?

Gengar, Lucario and Mewtwo are retarded.
Blaziken and Alakazam are very good, but not that much better than their original forms.
Charizard-Y, Mawile, Blastoise and Kangaskan are all very good.
Everything not listed is decent.
Tyranitar and Garchomp are shit and should never be used.

I disagree (If you're talking about M2Y). It's got a stupidly high Special Attack. (Shit is in the mid 400's at lv 83)

I barely like any of the megas revealed so far (Except Mawile, she's mah girl), and I'm now at that point where I'm just waiting for GF to release more Megas (Because we all know that GF is going to release at LEAST 20 more Megas throughout 2014)

so you give up 5% of your attacking power for ~11% more in each defense, 20% more speed, and not losing 10% of your HP each time you attack.

It's slower than regular chomp for more bulk.

But that's the funny thing. you just use it in rotation.

Turn you mega evolve, you use your non mega evolved speed, so you surprise attack, then rotate out and hide until the threats to it are gone, or surprise swap it in to rape.
