To do it, you hold the hand just off to their side. If they're willing to high five, they'll stare at it and try to swing at the spot - it may take some trial and error to actually work out the right place to connect.

When the tiles are randomized, each tile is simply swapped with another one, and each tile is swapped only once. This makes it easy if you spot a corner piece, etc and creates basic rules to follow
1. Two edge pieces on the correct edge but not in the correct positions just need to be swapped
2. If you see an edge piece on the wrong edge (a top border piece on the west border, for example) look for the corresponding edge piece and swap them (so look at the top border for a west edge piece in my example)
