I'm the proud owner of a shiny Trapinch. Bold, with three perfect IVs in HP, Defense, and Special Attack. Fully EV trained, and when it becomes a glorious Flygon it will know Earthquake, Dragon Claw, Fire Blast, and U-Turn/Roost. I just found a Rash Weepinbell while EV hoard training. It has max speed IVs and Chorophyll so it's still somewhat usable. Problem is should I use Growth on it, or stick in some utility move like Knock Off, Sunny Day or Sleep Powder? Victreebel's not bulky enough to get a Growth out reliably, and with weather inducers being nerfed he might not get the chance to get the boosted Growth all the time. Problem here is Growth and Knock Off are Weepinbell moves so if I forget those then Victreebel can't relearn them anymore.

Yeah it's pretty, but Lapras' stats are so balanced that it doesn't seem to do any job well.

It's now level 78 and none of its stats are above 200 besides it's HP which is just over 330.

Gen IV is the only gen in which I haven't seen a shiny (Besides Red Gyarados, hah-hah)

I've caught a shiny Cottonee and a shiny Magnemite in Black 2/White 2.

Salamence came in the form of a shiny Shelgon in the Friend Safari. Neutral nature and HP/SpA IVs so not the best, but I just had to fit it on my team.

Aegislash was a MM shiny after 807 eggs.

Found this lovely lady as soon as I entered Victory Road. It was in a horde with a bunch of others that knew Magnitude, so I was in full panic mode when trying to catch it.

get an octillery from fishing in azure bay. Catch a few, one will have suction cups ability.

Keep this one as lead in your party (can be fainted or not).

Go fishing anywhere with any rod. Fish bite rate is 100% thanks to suction cups.

As you fish and encounter, fishing chain goes up by one, also incresing chance for shiny.

This chain breaks if you move in any direction (i think using a bike accidentally too), if a fish bites and gets away.

You dont have to fight, you can run away. I managed a chain of 66 in half an hour, but I didnt catch a shiny.

so basically: suction cups, dont move, chain goes up. Doesnt matter which pokemon bites. Doesnt matter which rod. All that really matters is consecutive unbroken fishing.

Have fun. Working on a dragonair at the moment.
