The ability itself is actually pretty amazing since it blocks a lot of relevant moves like Shadow Ball/Aura Sphere and the like. Gengar gets pissed when he has to deal with it.

As to whether the Pokemon its attached to is worth it is another thing entirely.

I've seen a couple of Gengar with Dazzling Gleam, and once Pokébank's out, there'll probably be a few running Sludge Wave.

So that means:

Bullet Seed
Egg Bomb
Electro Ball
Energy Ball
Focus Blast
Gyro Ball
Ice Ball
Magnet Bomb
Mud Bomb
Octazooka
Rollout
Seed Bomb
Shadow Ball
Sludge Bomb
Weather Ball

Do absolutely nothing to Ches line.
The fact that it is immune to relatively common OU moves like sludge bomb, shadow ball, acid spray, gyro ball, focus blast, and aura sphere makes this ability pretty damn good, to say the least.

Meant Sludge Wave since it has the higher BP. Most Gengar have sludge wave or dazzling gleam or both.
