Relicanth isn't a pokemon that's high in demand so the chances of a shiny being bartered off the GTS is low.
Clauncher/Skrelp and Staryu/Shellder are version exclusives though and thus are higher in demand. A shiny on the GTS will probably go for what you want simply because they're searched more.
