Most of the newer Pokemon are rarer than the older ones.
I personally wish they fleshed out AZ a little bit more. I was more interested in him than I was in N. Same with Sycamore.
Not a whole lot of customization items for the guys, although that is mostly for girls anyway. Least they could have done is given like jackets or something.

Although I love the Friend Safari itself, there should be more Pokemon to choose from.
If it's true that Whismicott is now Fairy/Grass there shouldn't be a real reason to not including in at least one game or the Friend Safari.
The Gym leaders never leave the gyms, most of them anyway.

I've seen a lot of positive comments on almost all the new Pokemon
How easy breeding has become
Only one revealed Pokemon has a shiny that is the neon green they've been leaning on for years
How they approached death without skirting around it
The Radar returning
Hoards and Super Training making it easy to EV train
There's probably more too. Overall I enjoyed and still enjoy this game.
