>>15311672Wait, I'm confused, is MegaGeng meant to be broken because of Shadow Tag or because of its stats? Because frankly its stats aren't much more impressive than any other Mega and THAT'S NOT WHAT ANYONE'S FOCUSING ON.
People are focusing on Shadow Tag as the reason he needs a ban. My point is, Shadow Tag isn't broken on MegaGeng because he gives you an open opportunity to switch to a suitable counter. As soon as Gengar comes out, you switch to something you can kill MegaGeng with; it's EXACTLY LIKE HE DIDN'T HAVE SHADOW TAG. He can't trap mons or score revenge kills, Shadow Tag is essentially meaningless on him, that's my point.
Now, if your argument is "what if I don't have a counter", well, welcome to Pokemon. You could make the same argument for ANY Mega Evo and half the shit in OU, all of which will stomp you to pieces if you don't have a suitable counter to deal with them.
Shadow Tag doesn't make MegaGeng more broken. In fact, it makes him LESS broken because in addition to serving no competitive advantage, it strips him of levitate and makes his Quake immunity into a 2x Quake weakness.
