The issue I'm having with Fairy Type is that it's got only two weaknesses and Gamefreak didn't introduce any good Pokemon this gen built to be able to fight Fairy's effectively.

Name three Poison Type besides Gengar that can be useful offensively.

In any case, you don't need a poison type, any physical pokemon with poison jab can check fairies since their defenses are shit for the most part.

It's a good typing but you conveniently forgot that most of the fairy pokemon themselves are shit. And they're also weak to steel so why would you force yourself to bring a poison type?

Fairies are largely weak and get absolutely demolished by their weaknesses.

Any fairy is already going to have a hard time eating scizor bullet punches when he's stupidly common in the meta. They also generally suck at taking neutral hits.

Other than one cover legendary, the only two decent fairies are Togekiss and Azumarill, both of which have their counters.

magneton/zone, scizor, mawile, aggron, metagross, empoleon, lucario, heatran, excadrill, escavalier, ferrothorn, durant, bisharp, aegislash

there's also hordes of things that learn steel or poison attacks that aren't themselves steel or poison

Not that guy, but Slurpuff having Unburden and a great movepool makes it useable. Aromatisse is a slightly worse special wall than Sylveon, but it actually has a pretty useable movepool that Sylveon wishes it had.

They're RU material at best, but they're not absolutely terrible.

Sadly, can stil lbreed all the necessary things out of the same mon onto him though. You basically breed Drain Punch into Hitmonchan and he's golden since Hitmonchan gets Mach Punch and Ice Punch naturally.

Problem is, where the fuck do you find a Tyrogue with all the greedy safari's out there.
