Route 4 contains several gardens and mazes on the side of the path to be navigated. If you're judging these things based on what "feels" longer, I'd say this is comparably just as satisfying.
Route 5 has several mini-areas that can only be accessed by grinding. They're small in themselves, but are compensated in number.
Route 6 has two fucking LARGE grassy areas filled with unique Pokemon, trainers to battle (if you choose to do so), and various items to obtain.
Route 7 has optional grassy areas as well. Route 8 has optional, spacious sea areas and an optional cliff. Route 10 contains many side areas as well, mainly because of the rocks. Route 11 has a multitude of side areas that can be accessed via Cut. Route 14 is a swamp with many long side paths, and one of the better examples of long routes in the game.
I could go on and on and on, but ultimately, my point is that you're severely underestimating the size of Kalos' routes and then going on to accuse me of trying to tell you that your subjective experiences are wrong. This isn't a fucking two way street, grow up.
