I had no idea Karen and Sidney were dark type specialists until like 2008

Thinking back, why didn't they give Karen a Tyranitar?

I don't think they really wanted to give an Elite 4 member a pseudo-legendary, otherwise it would outclass the champ. Can't remember if any other E4 have had a pseudo though.

Bruno had two rock Pokemon
Agatha had two poison Pokemon
Lance had a water Pokemon and a rock Pokemon
Koga had a bug Pokemon
Bruno had a rock Pokemon
Karen had a grass Pokemon and a ghost Pokemon
Lance had a water, rock, and fire Pokemon

Lance was worse than Karen.

Man, you know what I meant. She had two Pokemon that weren't ghosts. If you wanted to get truly technical, she's hailed as a ghost specialist, but her team is all poison.
