You ever get the feeling that all of Gamefreak's creative impulse just evaporated when they were doing X and Y?

There are so many signs of this game being rushed that I cannot even begin to describe it. The shoehorned story, the non-existent characterization, everything. Seriously, we get the best storyline since Mystery Dungeon last gen and then we get this? It's fucking laziness.
