We have speed/attack/def/normal. I can't think of much else.

Unless they plan on introducing a form with some sort of kick-ass ability.

so hear me out. since deoxys is an extraterrestrial pokmon, maybe the fifth meteorite gives him the power to mega evolve when sent into battle automatically. maybe as an ability i dont know. there might not be a known mega stone in the pokemon world for deoxys so it comes from an otherworldly rock

Mega Deoxys makes even less sense than Mega Mewtwo. How are these newly formed Pokemon mega evolving thousands of years after radiation from AZ's weapon/Yveltal/Xerneas literally set the mega evo list in stone?

I don't find the idea of him getting a mega too unlikely, but why would there be a meteor for that? Mega Evolutions occur through Mega Stones.

I suppose the player could pick up one and have it as a mega stone.

I'd like to think that Deoxys could be able to do "endless mega evolution". I.e., with the right item you ALWAYS have the mega evolution button available when Deoxys is in battle and whenever you click it, you just switch to the next deoxys form.

Nah, it makes perfect sense.

Saying mewtwo had to exist for a certain wavelength of radiation that causes a reaction in mewtwo to exist.

Basically all mega are just irradiated rocks that have a radiation frequency that causes a reaction in a certain species of pokemon when the stone is placed near a seconary activator rock.

Because the frequency it produces clearly only works on a very specific physiology. The mega stones are clearly a side effect, and not made with their pokemon in mind.

Except that's not what happened. What happened was:
-Ultimate weapon was fired off
-It irradiated tonnes of stone, causing them to release radiation that synergizes with certain pokemon.

The pokemon doesn't have to have existed then to have something that happens to synergize with it. The only reason for that to be the case would be if those stones were made specifically for the intent of mega evolving those pokemon, which is like assuming that fire stones were made to specifically evolve certain fire types.
