The routes were nice with lots of little nooks and crannies, but it's really lacking that feeling of adventure I had in Unova. Everything is so small and close together, and almost zero dungeons. Nothing seemed "out there". It had a very community-feel instead of an adventure-feel
The music was really nice, but I still find I prefer the style of the older ones (using lots of different moving layers, a real wide variety of different soundfonts, and focusing equally on rhythm of all layers; compared to less, more harmonic layers and a 'big band' and/or orchestral style.) Sorta hit-and-miss. A lot of the route music definitely isn't as catchy or distinguishable as the previous entries. And again, there wasn't the greatest variety, seeing as they reused it. Best themes were the ones that did use their own soundfonts or had their own niche (ex. Anistar, Pokeball Factory) and remixes of older themes.
