So I watched Pokemon Origins yesterday.
It was really good
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uU9K024gAow for those that haven't seen it.
It made me realize the original Pokemon anime is a piece of shit.
Why is Ash such a shitty character? Why does he have so little character development?
Why did they insist on keeping him throughout johto and the rest of the regions?
Why did the writers decide to drop so many plot points like we would forget? (pic is just en example of many) OF COURSE WE DIDN'T FORGET, why did Ash promise to go get Pidgeot back but never did? I spent the whole of Johto series waiting for ash to finish his faggy quest because he was supposed to get the GS ball back and on the way to Pallet he would get Pidgeot back! He never did and I realized I hated Ash at that point and decided to stop watching.
Bit unrelated, but I once saw what seemed to be a mini series that focused on Gold and that was actually kinda good. Does anyone know what it was called?
asdfasdfadfasdfa
The creator of Pokemon wanted Ash to actually age, and eventually become what we know as "Red" He wanted Red to be a saviour of Pokemon, taming legendarys and rares, becoming the ultimate pokemon trainer. Nintendo had another idea tho. They kept ash as 10 year old forever so it would keep the kids watching the show. Also the gold ball is meant to have Celebi in it, I don't know why in the anime they just completly forgot the entire thing like it meant nothing at all.

The entire anime is just one long commercial to play Pokemon. As for the saga regarding Gold, it's Pokemon Chronicles and it's called Raikou and the Legend of Thunder (I think)

No nickname given to Charmander, based Red shoving it up all the Karenfags asses.

>>15326131 That's true, but then again imagine what would've been like to have a show like the Origins mini and tell me it wouldn't be 100x better and more profitable than focus the whole franchise around a kid that doesn't grow up and no one actually cares about??

>>15325865 If ash focused on catching every pokemon like in origins we would have gotten to see every pokemon anyways it would have been great.

The fights in Origins were pretty fuckin' cool, but then they skip almost all of the fucking Gym Leaders in the god damn story. It should've been 10 episodes. 1 for each Gym leader + Elite 4 + Mewtwo.

OP, what do you like better? The Simpsons or For Better or Worse?

>>15326343 I kinda disagree. It was nice seeing Red catching all the pokemon, but it lead up to Red using different pokemon in every battle, that way nobody really cared about his pokemon other than his Charizard.

Why hasn;t there been a game where you can go there yet?
Also, is the Origins a one time thing only or do you think they will do one for GSC for either GOld's journey or an alternate telling from Red's point of view?
