>>15330935Here's the thing though, I don't really care about any of it having some kind of explanation. Hell, even the argument that a baby shouldn't beat up an adult is kind of bull shit when levels have nothing to do with age if I can grind a level 1 to level 50 in about an hour or so.
What I merely want is some gameplay improvement. And this notion of losing a sense of growth by disconnecting levels and stats is silly to me since you growth can be felt in have actual experience and knowledge from battles. It's way more satisfying to me to have gone through a game fully understanding the mechanics than just feel like I can steam roll every challenge by having more "strength".
Again, this isn't for everybody. I can understand how some people enjoy the grind, or enjoy having absolute dominance over lower levels. I'm not saying something like this will work for those kinds of people. Different strokes, etc.
But don't tell me it wouldn't at least be interesting to experience a game were things were more or less a constant challenge, but not overly so, because it would be to a lot of people.
