I've been enjoying IV breeding too this gen, it's a fun pass time, it allows you to actually have something to trade for with other people, people breed pokemon and battle together, the way it is now is awesome and it's good for the community along with the friend safari, it means people can interact with each other and it's not just trading for legendaries all day (that is just boring)

It is easy though. Out of the 4 mons I've actually bred for IVs this gen so far I got one with 5 IVs on the first egg and the other in 6. The other 2 took half an hour at most.

It still takes 30 minutes to an hour to get a Pokemon with a few perfect IVs and that's only after you've farmed a shitload of Dittos. Hidden Power is less of a crapshoot but it's still insane to breed for.

Serebii works well enough for existing mons without a stat update, while this one supposedly has XY pokemon support:

Also, I just redeemed my pokemiles for like 37 rare candies. If I find one that has a good amount of perfect IVs but isn't completely perfect in all relevant stats, I'll save and rare candy it up for stats to enter (resetting after to get rare candy back). If the remaining stats aren't really bad, I may consider using it.

Make sure you have destiny knot on one of the pokemon.
Make sure neither of them are holding a power item, because that will override the knot.

I've been IV breeding for a good while now in X/Y. It's still boring as fuck and I'm still gonna use the distros when they come out.
