>Team Rocket temporarily follows Ash and co
>Persian returns, sporting a necklace with a familiar stone
>Ash states "That's a Mega Stone! But which one?"
>Persian speaks "I've come to like my new body. It's got quite a few benefits."
>Jesse and James are given a glance and wink, and they quickly run to Persian
>Persian laughs as he says "This time, we're taking Pikachu by force! No robots, just you and me!"
>He then lets out a wild howl, and mega evolves by himself.

>He fights Pikachu on even footing, almost winning
>Persian looks exhausted, but keeps fighting
>Pikachu notices, and slows its own attacks
>Pikachu then notices Persian crying behind his vicious new look
>Pikachu lets off one Iron Tail, KOs Persian. Mega form fades.
>Jesse and James rush over, worried for their friend.
>Meowth then reminisces about how he was afraid of evolution, how he just wanted to be himself forever
>The Mega Stone made him feel alive, but he didn't want it. He wanted to be beaten so he could rest
>Persian then gets up, beaten and battered
>"I need to find myself. See you guys around.", and he turns and vanishes into the bushes
>Jesse and James both cry and call out to him, but no response
>Ash and co stay with the troublesome duo. Episode ends
