So does the Safari have a higher Shiny Rate or something? I found a Venomoth yesterday and it was my first Shiny in Gen VI, and I see all these threads and others who've gotten Safari shinies as well.

I'm no expert at this, but what I did was bring an entire strong team in. Used each pokemon until they were out of moves and then I'd use the PP restore power if needed. I didn't save or connect to the gts in fear it'd break my chain.

I've chained 3 shinies off fishing and 2 from safari with almost exactly the same technique. Can't say it is the guaranteed way to do it but it seems a bit too lucky , seeing as I haven't seen other shinies in this game by going on my main quest

I know it's not technically chaining but that's what I call it when I enter the safari. Basically I just beat everything up without saving or leaving and now I have a shiny Druddigon and Fraxure, both caught less than an hour apart (although it took me a while to find the first one)
