Sneasel's one of my favourite Pokemon, even if I like it more than Weavile I think Weavile looks great. It's not like it's the only cool looking Pokemon that looks "better" unevolved.

I personally prefer Scizor's design myself, though. Probably because I'm a huge Gen II fag.

Don't remind me. My best buddy just got kneecapped by Gamefreak because they just felt the need to make Dark typing even worse than it already was.

It's all fun and games when the big bad dragons get something new to worry about, but it seems they forgot that the ones really hit the hardest by the new type are fighting and dark Pokemon in the lower tiers.

The worst part is that most of the fairies are likely going to be found in the lower tiers to begin with. It's only a select few that will be able to tough it out in the big leagues where most of the actual dragons are, and even then you'll probably see more non-fairies using fairy-type coverage moves.

I wouldn't have minded if Fairies JUST had a resistance to Dark, but you're right; giving Dark another weakness was just too much.

I always mained Weezing but due i couldn't find any on XY i gave a try to my second Poison favorite.

Probably gonna stick with it because my team lacks physical attackers anyway and so far gave me good results. Maybe better than Weezing which was just to bulk and pain split and i already have vespiquen (related to the thread too) for stall.

Icicle Crash is the only physical STAB move over 80 that Weavile has access to, and it very much needed it. Losing out on Low Kick is a shame, but IC is now the single strongest physical move it gets.

That might not be totally true.

Knock Off is 65 base power now, which doubles if the target is holding something. Since just about everything holds something in battles, that's 130 power, 195 factoring STAB.

Of course, unless you can breed it onto Sneasel in gen6, it and Icicle Crash will be incompatible. Still, mite b cool.

I tend to use him and a lanturn with volt absorb in double battles. Give him thunderpunch instead of raind dance, give lanturn rain dance, thunder, charge and pretty much any other move you want, i use brine. Ludi sets up leech seed on the other 2, can literally just stay there and thunderpunch lanturn to restore her hp. Both of them are totally amazing

That is true.

Now that I think about this, things are going to get really fucking weird come December. We're going to have a lot of people with the advantage of having pokemon with moves they can only learn through the BW Move Tutors, and others taking advantage of the new egg moves but losing out on access to some of the tutored moves that propelled certain Pokemon into higher tiers to begin with.

I wonder if Gamefreak is going to do anything to remedy this before the inevitable Z-Version or if they're going to just leave people without access to copies of Black and White drifting in the wind.

I think Noivern is going to be my favourite of this Generation. Was not expecting it. Haven't used one in battle yet, so we'll see.

I've been running Audino on a mono-normal double battle team, and it's a ludicrously good supporter for another unexpected bro, Regigigas. First, it Simple Beams to remove Regigigas's ability and boost the effectiveness of Rock Polish, then it keeps the big guy alive with Heal Pulse and Healer. Gimmicky as hell, but these two have smashed some serious face together.

Well, having a STAB that hits Steel and a resistance to Ghost are both incredibly valuable assets for Hydreigon to abuse. It just needs to be played with a bit more finesse.
