A box of WT will net you like 6-8 rare candies (plus some rare Pokemon). As long as you do breeding sprees here and there, you don't really need to worry about running out.

I had the same problem. I did a mixture of E4 grinding, resturaunt farming, and pokemile rare candy trading.

It was tedious as fuck. I found that the E4 was by far the fastest way.

Have you taken Mewtwo to the move relearner to check for Psystrike?
