I always pick my Mega Pokemon because it's my best statistically with a great move range so I can only justify it.
The other two I just play around what they have...For example if 5 out of 6 of them are Sp.A, I will just take my Pokemon with Assault Vest and one sweeper, usually Talonflame. I mix it up of course but it's still pretty dumb as hell.
There are just certain things that can't be anticipated properly in a 3 v 3 unless you have access to every single Pokemon, otherwise it's just a gamble fest. I know Pokemon is already gambling/predicting but even more so now. I can't really justify picking walkers/setup or gimmicks because usually you just need raw power and speed. No reason it should be 50 either...Ranked is small time.
