Really, you should have seen it fucking coming. Why would you keep Greninja in? It can't do shit to Rotom-W.

If you lead with Greninja and they lead with Rotom-W then they aren't gonna bother burning you or tricking you when they could potentially kill you with TBolt. See, this is when you're supposed to predict the TBolt and switch in to a bulky Grass-type or a special wall.

...But if you can guess that it isn't scarfed then yeah, that would work.

...Oh, or if Greninja's Sash'd. Then it could force Rotom out if it was Scarfed and tried to TBolt.

...But then Rotom-W could have been using Volt Switch instead of TBolt in anticipation of you switching out so it could gain switch advantage.
