I've completed the 2nd gym in Pokémon White, and so far, the new pokémon look pretty shitty.
I even refused to level anything other than my Snivy because I hated all the other ones (that weird looking pidgeon thing, really?)

So, what are some cool and useful pokémon to look out for in gen V until about mid game? I'm about to enter the Pinwheel Forest.
