It's Game Freak's way of trying to create more 'realism'. Just like how IVs (Individual Values) create the sense that not every pokemon is the same. It's the same same concept, but bad implementation.

For fucks sake. Not sure if your stupid and playing along or just stupid.

It's a disease that doubles the EV gain the afflicted mon has, even after they get cured (a time based event) they still gain double EVs (but not from Super Training). While afflicted, mons in the same party can be infected.

It's very valueble. Inflict some trash mon with it and trade them away, you can get good stuff for it. Or you can infect a ton of mons with it and wondertrade them away and do gods work.
