I understand IVs and EVs, just trying to wrap my head around breeding the perfect pokemon.

Like passing on natures and IV's.

Have the pokemon you want to pass the nature on for hold the Everstone, and the other parent hold the Destiny knot.

with Destiny knot, the baby pokemon will have 5 IV's picked up from the parents randonly. (that means that only 1 stat of 6 will be newly generated on the child)

Once you have parents with two different perfect IV's (safari zone helps) breed them together until the child has 3-4 perfect IV's, then repeat again using THAT child (who now has the nature) and another pokeon who has the 5th IV you want to pass on.

Worth saying, in my experience giving one of the parents a power item didn't negate the destiny knot like I've seen some people say, I've used it pretty succesfully to make a pokemon with 5 IVs, but incorrect nature, and gave the other correct nature the stone, and the incorrect nature one the destiny knot. You can easily do it with just two 4 IVs, but every little bit helps.
Maybe I'm wrong and just got extremely lucky or something. But eh. Obviously only works on pokemon that can breed with themselves, so no Rotoms or anything unfortunately.
