I have a team of Mawile, Cloyster, and Noivern, pokemon I don't like and am using purely for power, and I've not gotten past Battle 9 in Super Singles. I haven't tried the others yet because I don't have enough perfect IV pokemon yet.

Got up to battle 21 in super rotation.

I was using a team of Meowstic, Sylveon, Noivern and M-Mawile. I was T-waving everything in the first few matches and suddenly every other battle had 2-4 ground types in it.

I lost to a lilligant that I let get to +6 trying to sucker punch it only for it to survive with a sliver of health and sweep me.

The first 20 are pushovers, Scizor, Mega Mawile, and Gardevoir took everything out without a problem. Flinch hax was on my side as well, kings rock bullet punch saved my ass so many times.
What you need is not sweepers, it's bulk. A pokemon that can't take a hit isn't going to make it very far.

Is there any meaningful different between super and normal battles?

I understand the mons in super battle are tougher, but am I right in thinking that both have increased difficulty the further your streak?

Does this mean that after x rounds of normal, you're playing the same sifficulty as super?

As far as I'm aware, normal ends at 20 after you beat the leader.

Also, after round 50 of supers the difficulty increases and then stays there thereafter. I had the same sets of pokemon show up from 50 all the way to 200.

I've only ever seen it switch if they're locked into a move from choice band like earthquake against a levitate or flying pokemon. I've never tried that strategy though, so idk if it switches if it has traunt.

I tried super singles the other day for the first time and got to 37 fairly easily. I would have gotten further but I got a bit too cocky and made some bad moves. Overall seems like much less hacks than the subway.

Team was Mega Scizor (killed most teams single handed), azumarill, and noivern

Now I got swept by an Espeon with
Psychic/Dazzling Gleam/Signal Beam on round 35. It had a perfect moveset to counter my whole team.

I know it's easy to blame hax and fire fang missing, but honestly you messed up earlier than that which set the stage for your loss. The turn you decided to keep Venusaur in, even if you assumed you would survive whatever attack it dished out, what good did you think leech seed was going to do?

Did you think you would be able to survive its attack and be able to continuously tank it off leech seed returns? Even in the absence of sun I'm not sure you were bulky enough to continuously survive damage it would have dealt and kept on living through leech seed/black sludge

Even then, once you saw it use sunny day (which it had to have done during the turn you used leech seed), you should have known it was going to use a some sort of fire attack.

You should have switched to Tyrantrum from the start. It has a 4x fire resist. Even in the sun, a +special attack nature, 252 special attack arcanine using overheat will only do 40.12 - 47.13% to a neutral nature tyrantrum with no investment in either hp or special defense. You gave up Venusaur for free when you got greedy and didn't switch and instead tried to leech seed.

Not necessarily saying you would have won anyway, but you a large part of your loss is due to your poor play.

I keep getting up to Battle 31 and losing.

I'm using Swords Dance Gale Wing Talonflame for a lead, a Brave 0 Speed Aegislash with Swords Dance and pure special attacking Mega Gengar with all the coverage I can get.

Battle 31 always has the PERFECT counters

That isn't the game having perfect counters. That's you having a poorly constructed team.

1) Talonflame
- Weak to water, electric, rock. Only Aegislash resists rock, meaning you have no safe switches that resist the attack.
- Crippled by paralysis, can only priority brave bird with it.
- Not bulky at all, just hits hard

2) Aegislash
- Weak to ground, ghost, dark. Talonflame resists ground, but you double up on weaknesses with gengar. No true safe switch against ghost or dark moves, talonflame is too fragile
- Crippled by burn

3) Mega gengar
- Weak to ground, psychic, dark, ghost. Double up weaknesses on ground, dark, ghost, with aegislash. Talonflame is immune to ground, but really can't take hits, so safe switch option for those.
- Crippled by paralysis
- Also not bulky

Your team has a lot of holes in it. It's not surprising that eventually something came along that takes advantage of that. Defensive potential matters much more than offensive potential here. More resists will get you get you farther.

Well, if I predict Rock, I switch into Aegislash, King's Shield to drop attack, then stack Swords Dance and try and sweep. I can switch into Talonflame or Gengar to avoid Earthquake.

As I said, I was thinking of switching Gengar out for Rotom-W or something. I caught a Timid Rotom and bred a perfect one. I need something to remove his Speed EVs though.

What would you recommend me to add?

I run a support Noivern and MegaLucario, they cover each others weaknesses and overall work very well together.
Third member is Protean Greninja with the intent being it can change itself to counter what's left after those two, although that's been dubiously useful.

It's been alright, but 32 is my best, and I'm starting to lose my patience with it.

Right now I'm scheming up a way to just cheese it, current plan is MegaGengar and Sash Froslass with Destiny Bond each, third member being something more standard that can take a hit and slap shit back like Dragon Dance/Weakness Policy Dragonite.

Gengar switch in only works if it isn't mega already, and if talonflame is dead, you have no real answer to ground moves, dark moves, or ghost moves without taking a billion damage.

Rotom-w is always a good choice, but make sure it's modest, not timid. It really needs the extra special attack to hit hard. It's certainly good defensively in conjunction with talonflame and aegislash, since it gives you an extra ground immunity and water resist. Talonflame also pairs nicely defensively resisting grass attacks 4x.

Just be aware that curse chesto swampert which appears at later floors. It has a serious chance of stalling and killing you and it can set up rather easily. Rotom actually can completely wall it, and timing hydro pump properly will be able to let you trick the AI into getting greedy and not resting.

There are actually very few ice types that show up. The most frequent are cryogonal, glaceon, weavile, mamoswine. Walrein and dewgong show up very infrequently. It's worth noting that cryogonal, glaceon, and weavile almost always have a focus sash. Also notable, weavile has fake out and taunt on its set.

Got to 49 wins before I did something stupid. My team consisted of a Dancing Focus Sash Volcarona lead, Mega Lucario and Assault Vest Goodra which is my favorite new thing since it hilariously walls every special attack possible.

My fuckup was keeping Volcarona in on a T-tar lead and thinking an unboosted bug buzz would kill it. I forgot about the SpD boost sand gave Ttar so needless to say Volcarona got shat on by stone edge. Garchomp rekt Lucario and put Goodra in the red and Yanmega finished me off. Might have won if Lucario took the stone edge.

Other than me playing retarded this team is surprisingly good. Im thinking of dropping Morning sun off Volcarona for Psychic since I only used it in one of the 49 battles

Man, I'm so tired of this shit. It literally takes hours to get to 100, and if the rng decides to fuck you over just once you have to start over. I run 100 % accuracy moves with the exception of one move (Rock Slide) and some moves I rarely use (Steel Wing, Metal Claw). Yet I still lose to brightpowder and now that I decided to get an Aerial Acer on my team I lose to critical hits and bad matchups.

/rant, but seriously, fuck this place. I have more BP than I ever need, I just want that god damn 100 win streak.

I got to 24 (I think) in Super Singles using the same Aegislash, Mega Aerodactyl, and Goodra that I used in-game. I still haven't lost yet, but a number of close calls with hax were giving me heart burn. There were like half a dozen matches where Aegislash (Lonely nature) wound up Confused and Paralyzed, only to King's Stall with lefties back up to full health and sweep. I knew that that wasn't going to keep happening, and both Aerodactyl (Hasty, not so bad) and Goodra (Serious or some shit) have shit moves and die whenever it's not a make-or-break situation.

I'm thinking of swapping out the last two for Protean Greninja and Hydreigon, and breeding a better n00bsblade...

Keep going man, Rotations are much better than Singles since the game doesn't cheat almost at all. It's also much easier to predict and work around most of the stuff that the AI does since you can see three of the opponent's Pokemon at the same time and switch without spending your whole turn on it.

I personally got a 31 win streak in Super Rotations with MegaChomp, Protean Life Orb Greninja, Sash Chandelure and Sharp Beak Gale Wings Talonflame. That streak actually included an INSANELY lucky moment, especially by Battle ____ standards. Both me and my opponent were down to last Pokemon, Talonflame vs. Aerodactyl. I knew I couldn't OHKO it in any way so I just went for Steel Wing and hoped for the best. Aero's Rock Slide MISSED and I was able to deal 50+% damage and KO it after that with a priority Brave Bird. I've been thinking of switching Sharp Beak for Choice Band to get an even more powerful Brave Bird but I'm not entirely sure about being locked into one move. I guess I'd just have to use Talonflame exclusively as a late-game cleaner then.

Honestly the AI can't handle good team synergy and good play even in singles. The only times I ever felt threatened were when I knew I screwed up. Even through blizzard crits and freezes and I never felt like I was in a losing position with my team.

I used a Noivern in the Super Singles. It literally annihilated everything in it's way with Choice Specs Hurricane/Boomburst. Also had Draco but didn't really find a reason to use it ever.

I paired mine with a Politoed holding Damp Rock, and as back up I had Bulk Up Toxicroak. Those three got me to 44wins with ease til I fucked up fighting a Heracross.

I was thinking about taking out Aegis for Klefki so I can throw up reflect and make TTar near invincible. I usually use Protect and EQ turn one, or switch to Gengar and EQ if they have a fighting type. Does someone have a good Klefki doubles set or advice for these guys? Thanks

As far as I know yes. Also since this seems like a good time to bring it up, I got my first harvest of Lansat berries. It took a 4 days to get a grand total of 4 berries. Looks like all the anons waiting for me to get a bunch are gonna have to wait a while longer

You have two EQ users and only one of them is immune to it. On the other hand, you have two pokemon that will probably be OHKO'd by your own EQs in your party.

I count just the one on Mamoswine unless of course you're using King's Shield that doesn't block EQ.

You have Sandstorm up. Why the fuck aren't you using an Excadrill, Gliscor, or Garchomp? You're also going to get hit hard by Surfers so a Rotom-Water should be considered especially considering it has Levitate as well.

I can't tell how many times Protect has saved my ass from random Quick Claws, really.

Greninja / Mega Gardevoir / Garchomp / Hawlucha is what I've been using.

Kings Shield does indeed block EQ. It's protect with an added effect. This was a team I made of stuff I've found in game and in safari and it's been treating me well so far. Gliscor is a pretty good idea though, maybe I'll trade out Mamoswine for him.

Also battle maison is really predictable at trying to counter the TTar, so the backup ghosts have been working really well for free attacks.

It didn't actually play out like that, I just trimmed it down to show the relevant parts.

My M-Venusaur would have definitely stalled the whole 5 turns of Sun even while getting hit with Overheat or any other fire attack if Leech Seed would have had hit. Because the next turn I would have had used Synthesis and recovered 2/3 of my health thanks to the Sun boost, and then even more with Leech Seed.

However, I know I screwed up by staying in after the Leech Seed missed and decided to do it a second time. After that turn, I did switch to Tyrantrum to try and tank the next Overheat, but it was already too late, the Venusar was already weakened enough to not survive another hit. The one who actually killed it was Scizor with U-Turn, which wouldn't have been there had Fire Fang not missed.
