252+ Atk (custom) (Move 1) vs. 4 HP / 0 Def Blaziken: 288-338 (95.36 - 111.92%) -- 68.75% chance to OHKO

Aerilate quick attack is pretty good off 155 base attack.

Had to custom it because aerilate changes its base power to 52. Then apply STAB from flying type and there you go.

Close Combat has less coverage and whatever it's effective on that walls Pinsirs other moves it won't actually be doing that much to them.

Thrash can be substituted for Return if you don't want to get locked into a move.

Quick Attack should be on every build obviously.

Swords Dance is great but i think the choice should be either Earthquake/Stone Edge or Close Combat

Neither would Earthquake the point is Pinsir is walled by pokemon such as Skarmory.
Earthquake has better coverage for Pinsirs weaknesses while Close Combat has less but can hit Skarmory even if you'll do fuck all damage.

You see normally this wouldn't be a problem because most would have said Thrash/Outrage user holding a Lum berry. I can see how this would be a small set back for Pinsir because its held item slot is taken up by its Mega stone but I feel that its actually worth the confuse status being the power house it is and damage that move dishes out while Return lacks in the power department by what...18 power? Sometimes the little numbers can make a difference.

Thrash is trash competitively because you don't want to lock yourself into a normal or in this case, flying move when steel types are everywhere. It's better than return ingame, though.
