Depends on what you're trying to do, OP. I'll be buying X soon (I have Y) because I like to keep one copy full of all my bred and trained pokes, and try to fill the pokedex on that copy. X will be my dedicated play through copy, so I can restart and try out different teams without losing everything. (Although I suppose the bank might make that all slightly unnecessary)

If you want to do something like that, though, it might be worth picking up both versions.

All of the Pokemon? Yeah. You can also get the version exclusives through the different trading methods in the game.

By "collector", I just meant collecting the games. Unless you're collecting all of the games in the franchise's history, there's really no point to having both versions especially since the differences are even more insignificant than Black and White's.

Yeah, it's pointless to buy both versions unless you're collecting the games themselves. You'll definitely be able to fill the Pokedex with just one version of the game.
