Question about EV training/Hitmon Training.
1) So, everyone's been saying it's quick to EV train by earthquakin' hordes. I get that. I understand why. But what I don't understand is this:
If a Pokemon is getting exp/leveling up, is it not losing the chance to get the best stats possible?
My Hitmontop example:
I want to EV train a Hitmontop. So I level a Tyrogue up to level 20 with Rare Candies, and it evolves. I THEN supertrain it the specific way I want.
I guess what I'm asking is, are EV's retroactive? Like if I started EV training a Pokemon who was hatched at level 5 and a Pokemon who was hatched at level 1, would the level 1 Pokemon have better stats because it had 4 more levels to get GAINS from, assuming identical IVs?
Am I being clear? I don't think I am.
